Beak’s Old Florida, St. Pete’s most unique tavern, is a casual respite for grownups (over 21 only). We are located in the heart of St. Petersburg’s Midtown on Central Avenue in the Historic Grand Central Business District.
Beak’s is open Tuesday through Saturday, with dining from 11:30a to 10:30p. The hallmark of Beak’s cuisine is a remake, with a delicious twist, of tavern favorites and a menu that is ever-evolving.
Our fabulous bar drink menu, created around premium spirits in the well, craft brews on tap and bottle, and interesting boutique wines, offers a discriminating variety for imbibing at very reasonable prices. The wine list, carefully selected for food pairing and comprised of the best from small boutique wineries, is extremely modest with only a one-time markup over cost in pricing. Many of our wines are featured at $5.50 by the glass.

The casual main room is fully air conditioned with unpretentious over-the-top vintage old Florida décor accenting the bamboo dining bar and zany display table dining.
The outer bamboo dining bar and display table dining is open- air, with ornate wrought iron walls under permanent roof with radiant heat in the winter and cooling micro-misters in the summer for comfort. It also features a tiki stage for live music offered most nights with no cover charge.
The garden patio is popular for it’s cozy dining with umbrella tables, cooling micro-misters, and lush tropical plants for outdoor enjoyment.
